ABOUT ADIA SISSON

HeadshotAdia Sisson's greatest dream is to be a Jack-of-All-Trades. Growing up in San Francisco, she attended The Hamlin School. This school fostered her love of art, science, and history. At fourteen, she moved to St Catharines, Ontario to attend Ridley College, where she entered world of international competitive robotics. At Ridley, Adia participated in the International Baccalaureate, taking classes such as Physics, Chemistry, Design Technology, Visual Arts, and the Theory of Knowledge, opening her eyes even more to the wonders of the world and rounding out her body of work. Naturally a synthesizer, Adia saw the connections in these seemingly different areas, applying chemistry and physics to her design projects, using math to improve her art.

At eighteen, Adia continued her international habits, moving across the Atlantic to Dublin, Ireland. There, she studied Engineering, Architecture, and Art History, a combination which thoroughly confused her Irish companions. Once COVID hit, Adia moved her energy to her Etsy shop, where she sells the patterns she develops and the products she creates. She is now a fashion and textiles major at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
